Managed from source to listener

A shared screen, with sound for every guest.

Silent cinema sends the film soundtrack to wireless headphones while guests watch a shared screen. It reduces amplified sound spill and helps audiences follow dialogue in spaces where a conventional speaker system may be unsuitable.

Silent Discotek plans the headphone system around the screening area, playback equipment and programme. Our team handles transmitters, audio routing, setup, coverage checks, picture-and-sound testing and on-site technical operation, with headphone distribution and collection planned alongside the event organiser.

We coordinate with your screen, projection and playback team. Screen equipment, seating, venue arrangements and film screening permissions should be confirmed separately in the event brief. Outdoor screenings also need suitable power, weather cover and a contingency plan.

How does silent cinema work?

Guests watch a shared screen while listening to its soundtrack through wireless headphones. Silent Discotek connects the playback audio to dedicated transmitters and checks coverage and picture-and-sound timing before the screening.

Can you support outdoor cinema in Malaysia?

Yes. Outdoor screenings can be planned in Kuala Lumpur, the Klang Valley and elsewhere in Malaysia, subject to suitable venue conditions, power, weather protection and technical access.

Does the service include a projector and screen?

The service described here covers managed wireless headphone audio. Confirm screen, projection, playback and seating arrangements in your brief so the audio team can coordinate with the relevant suppliers.

Can a host speak through the headphones?

Yes. A host microphone can be integrated for introductions, announcements and discussions when included in the technical plan.
